My name is Michael Gilbert Lopez. 

I took a photo class in high school and failed it.

I never dreamed that one day I would make a living by photographing people.

I believe that each of us has the potential to reach greatness.

I know why I am on this earth.

I love music. From Jazz, Funk, R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, and Electronic, you will hear me playing it somewhere around me.

I love my friends.

I love my wife.

I love my children.

I miss my mom.

I love my sister.

I want you to be better.

I want you to be your best.

I love light.

I love capturing moments of life.

I love basketball.

I love golf.

I had great mentors.

I had a mom who would take me to Thrifty’s Photo Studio as a kid and have photos taken of me after playing in the dirt.

I had a mom who would blow those photos up to 11x14 or 16x20.

I had a mom who taught me to love myself through photos.

I wish I still had my mom here on this earth.

I love you.

I care about you.

I hope we get to work together.
